Lynn McCurley. Light Fixtures. January 10th , 2018.
For an easy renovation to a kitchen area, the addition of light fixtures can do the trick. They can be a fairly inexpensive way to create a better looking environment. Without adequate lighting, an area can seem dingy and dark, which is not an attractive look for any kitchen design.
Stay away from bright colors and gleaming brasses that do not do justice to a rustic interior. Natural and outdoorsy is the theme that you want to portray with chandelier light fixtures that accent your rustic decor. Greens, browns and grays are examples of simplicity that will bring a rustic room together.
The zeal in putting light fixtures on either side of bathroom mirrors is not purely for design but also for practicality. The bathroom mirror that might be just the mirror found in front of the medicine cabinet is used for the practical purpose of helping us with our toiletry activities like washing our face and brushing our teeth and combing our hair or even blow drying it. Bathroom light fixtures can be the simple bulb screwed into its socket or the rounded more dramatic looking simple light bulb screwed into its socket or heat resistant glass covers to enclose the light bulb. But whatever the appearance the purpose is one of function.
Contemporary bathroom lights will typically be designed with clean lines and linear or geometric shapes. Chrome or stainless steel, which looks brighter due to the light they reflect, are typically preferred over richer, darker tones like wrought iron or bronze. Shades are often rectangular or angular in some other way, rather than the more traditional oval or round styles. Frosted glass is preferable to clear, as it softens and diffuses the light, preventing harsh glares.
